ONLY TWO wires ?
What colour are they ?
Most tachs have 4-5 wires.
Also ,what make of tach is it.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 13-Jan-02 AT 02:34 PM (EST)]it seems like there is no way that you could have only two wires. least would be three. 1. Hot wire 2. Ground 3. wire to the coil. 4. (most of the time) the accesory light hot wire. unless it is a self grounding one....

Thia is a factory tach in the instrument panel and it has a wire gong from the tach to the distributor and two (2) terminals on the back of the tach that are not marked Pos (+) or Neg(-) or anything. Does it matter which one + or - connects to?
