Question chain driven t-case?
88 ford f150 4x4, is the t-case in the truck chain driven or gears only.
and is there a way to upgrade or revitalize the case...

That should be a chain driven BW case, IIRC it's a 1356 or 1354 model, not positive, though. There are rebuild kits available, but you have to buy the chain seperately. The whole thing runs in the $500 range.
