I've worn prescription glasses since I was about 5 years old, so I have a pair of prescription safety glasses for my warehouse job. They are fairly light and don't really bother me much, but once in awhile I do get headaches which I think stem from wearing them. At my next appointment with the eye doctor I'll look into getting some yellow lenses for them. Thanks for the tip!

Try a light weight plastic shield instead of the glasses. I wear both, depending on what I'm doing.

I have a pair of uvex shooting glasses, and a pair of rremington shooting glasses- I use these as safety glasses- I know the uvex are ansi rated, whether the remington ones are I do not remember...A kid that I used to work with at a car dealer,he had a battery blow up on him...luckily he had his glasses on or he would have lost both eyes and he did sustain 2nd degree chemical burns from the acid.......
