2000 Explorer-Lower Intake?

2000 Explorer-Lower Intake?
My truck started getting hot yesterday and then it blew cold air,took to dealership and there is coolant in the oil.The mechanic told me it was lower intake gasket,but my husband says it's the head gasket.What does everybody else think?

Do a compression check on each cylinder. If the compression is relatively the same (around 140 PSI) on each cylinder then the head gaskets are okay and the leak is probably from the intake manifold. If one or two cylinders are low (below 100 PSI) then the head gasket is bad.
