It is called the Superior Wheel. It replaces your stock turbo compressor wheel and its job is to get rid of turbo stall under high boost i.e. pulling a trailer up a hill you will notice a sound that is similar to someone saying "what" really fast.
It is not too good for the turbo to stall like that so you replace it with the wheel.
You can find one at blackclouddiesel for $80
here is an awesome write up with turbo off the motor, you can do it still on the motor also
I am a new user to this site and see a lot of talk of the "wicked wheel". Just wondering what it is and where to get one?
Welcome to the forum.
Wicked Wheel, Superior Wheel, Swisher Wheel are some of the names that various retailers have named what is the compressor wheel that goes into the turbine of the 94.5-97 Powerstroke engine. The later ones are very susceptable to stalling under load if the owner puts installs a chip or programmer to gain more power. The WW will 100% clear up the stall on mild settings.
Glad I could provide some cheap entertainment at my expense. Hope to have the "powerstoke" smokin with some mods down the road. Right now in the process of building a house and don't have any extra cash. I bought the pickup for hauling building supplies. It is completly stock and I have not been dissapointed in its preformance so far but hope to modify when the house is done.

So thats what that was. I just made a trip to west texas on I-10 with a 20' trailer with 6500 lbs of stuff on it. At the top of some of the inclines, I was not impressed. It reminded me of my 1985 f250 with a 400 gaser.
And worse yet, I almost smoked my transmission a couple of times on the lower end passing a doggy dodge on performance tow.
I never figured out how to do a signiture. I have a Super Chip, Airraid intake and a Bully Dog exhaust.

at the top of the page, there is a blue bar running across. it has "User CP" on the far left. click on it, and then "edit signature". then put in the details.
