Look on the passenger floorboard of your truck, underneath the dash, probably a little behind the carpet. See if you're fuel pump cutoff switch has been tripped. That is immediately what I think and I bet is the problem.

Ok I say pull the batt negative cable for twenty minutes, let the PCM reset, try it again, then try and pull codes.

Sounds like a bad computer or a bad chassis ground. Did you bleed the air out of the fuel lines?

A bad EEC relay can do the same thing too. It can cause the PCM to not have power to it which makes it not fire the injectors, not turn on the fuel pump etc.
I haven't worked on an older Ranger in a long time but I think the EEC relay should be on the passenger's side of the engine compartment, near the heater blower motor. There should be 2 relays there. One with a green connector for the fuel pump and one with a black or brown connector for EEC.
I think

Ranger that wont start for anything

Hello iv posted this topic before but i cant figure it out, i have a 91 ranger 2.3 L 2wd. when i goto start it all it does is turn over iv checked everything i know to check. the fuel pump is good, the relay is good the wiring circuit is good but i dont know. my fuel pump doest kick on at all unless i run a jumper wire withing the relay connection and even with the pump running it wont start. the EEC relay is good. could it be the computer or not. i really would like to fix the truck but i have no clue as what it is any suggestions advice any thing would help. and the fuel pump cutoff switch is the first thing i checked so thats fine.

I thought you said you had 40psi fuel pressure in your other post? Is that only when you run a 12V hot wire to it?

Did you do any work on the truck before all of this started or is it totally out of the blue?

If you had the motor apart before all of this then check your firing order. I know it sounds stupid, but I've spent hours before trying to figure out why my car wouldn't start before realizing I had some wires going to the wrong plugs.

It seems unlikey your computer would fail unless the vehicle flooded.

After changing the filter and pump, you would have a LOT of air in the fuel lines. You can just crank it until it starts if you choose. That might be your problem, just a lack of fuel.
It will probably start then idle really low and struggle until a constant fuel supply gets to it, then it'll run just fine.

Why did you start another topic with the same question as before?

Get the codes pulled.

In his other topic he said if he jumped 12v the pump would run but not with the key on the RUN position.
