Pyrometer & Boost Gage

Pyrometer... the higher the number indicated, the higher the temperature.
Boost... the higher the indicated number, the higher the boost.
As the engine revs higher, there is more exhaust pressure which spins the turbo faster, which results in higher intake pressure. A result of the increased boost is more fuel being burned which equals hotter exhaust gasses.

The boost guage isn't going to really mean too much unless the turbo is broke(low) or modified. The pyrometer on the other hand is a very important guage. If it gets to the yellow, you might start to think about lifting the right foot a little. If it's in the red....probably too late. My basically stock 05 ( 4" exhaust, 3" lift and 315's ) will get to the yellow towing 14,000 lbs on a grade at speed. It will, or at least can, keep you from melting the turbo.

Our most popular gauges are the ISSPROs. We also carry Autometer and Dipricol. All are good products. As far as digitals go, we used to stock the ISSPRO digital pyro, but they didn't sell too well. I think most people like looking at analog gauges. They're just like wrist watches. Most people have an analog watch not digital. It's just a matter of preference. If you're looking for something pretty, Take a look at the Autometer C2 or Cobalt series. They are fancy. The Nexus series is about as nice looking as they come, but they come at a very high price tag.
