Does anyone here know if Ford ever put a Tilt Column in a 73-79 pickup with a manual transmission?? I have seen them in the Lariat models with an auto but never with a manual. Is this just the way it is or is that option very rare?? What Im wanting to do is put a tilt column in my 67. Is there one from an older car that could possibly work in this situation??
Lariat 78-79 auto is the only Ford truck tilt column that will work. I have read several posts here that some of the full size car tilts will work. A friend of mine has a truck tilt for sale now.

In the cool still quiet of night, you can hear chevies rusting away.
[font color=red size=2]I would like a tilt column for my 4spd too. I have only heard of one - well two now... I've been thinking: Would it be possible to take an auto tilt column and make it into a manual column? Just remove the auto shift collar and put a manual one on it, thus making it a manual column? Is that even possible? That's about the only way I can have a tilt column in my 4spd.
Marty, all you really have to do is knock out the roll pin holding the
shift lever in place. If you want to get fancy, cut the ears off and
fill the hole with one of those metal fillers, smooth and paint.
