Front Suspention Sag
I have a 77 F150 Ranger that came with a factory 460/C6, the front end is sagging from age. It is a 2wd, so it has IFS with coils. Is there anybody who sells coils that will lift the front end about 2 inches, to be more level with the back end?
Thanks for any help.
P.S.- Here is a picture of the truck

Congratulations on posting in the correct forum too!
Nice looking truck
MOOG sells Front coils for your truck.
Contact your local auto parts place that sells MOOG.
Maybe do a MOOG search on google to look up your EXACT application.
Does your truck have A/C ? It makes a difference.

The truck is all original, hasent been repainted or anything, interior is nicer then the exterior. Also came with a factory 5/8 ton suspention, class 5 hitch, and a LSD (still working. Although its a 8" axle i think, which is kinda surprising.
But anyways, thanks, I will take a look.

Almost everybody sells coils for your Twin I-beam suspension. The question is, "Which coil do you need?" You cannot just compare your old coil to the replacement. The old one will be taller. Strangely enough, once a coil is "Sprung" it will sag and appears taller when removed from the vehicle.
I've found that F150 front coil seems to be a good replacement, in general. There is a cargo coil which is a little taller and much stiffer but, I think it was made for a U-haul application or something.
After you replace your coils take your truck to an alignment shop and check your caster. That is, does the tire lean in or out of the wheel well. It should do neither. Caster at 0 degrees is optimal and a slight negative caster can be tolerated. Positive caster, tire leans out of wheel well, is incorrect and can cause handling problems.
Get a pro to look at the rest of the front end during alignment. I'm sure you'll hear it all. Check the following:
1. KingPin Bushings
2. I-beam bushings
3. Tie rod ends
4. Drag link joint
5. Pitman Arm joint
6. Steering Gear Play
After that, your finished!
