Where does water go without carpet?
I just bought a 2000XLT that has the rubber mat over carpet. With all the snow melting on the floor I have been wondering if there might be some drain under the plastic doorsill? Didn't want the water collecting under there and start rusting the rocker panels.

I was able to pull my doorsill up and loose. It snaps back into place. I would be careful doing it in the cold. Could break the tabs even in warm weather. I found ice built up under mine from melting snow. Cleaned it all out. I cut some carpet to use as a floor mat to collect the water before it runs under the doorsill. I can just toss the carpet and replace with another peice when it gets worn.

I popped it out and the cavity is PACKED with WET dirt
Guess I'm obsessive but I want that to stay clean and rot less.
It's drying now and I'll paint/spray-with-oil the whole area and then use a carpet that can be thrown out.
