What does the tow package consist of? Radiator?, Engine oil cooler ?I have a 97' F-350 7.5 460 w/o tow package. But it does have the camper package what does the camper pkg have?
Im not sure about the camper package, but the towing package on my f-150 consists of the helper leaf spring in the rear, oil cooler, bigger rad, and some other things im forgetting. I think it came with factory wiring for trailer brakes also.

I read in a post in the New Ford Buyers forum that the camper package includes everything in the tow package as well as something else (which I can't remember). So if that was true in 97, you could say that your truck does have the tow package as well as the camper package ...
Also I don't think the F350 has extra springs in the tow package, because my 99 didn't, even though it had the package. After all, it's already a one ton ...
My '93 F250 has the camper package. LS was not part of it, but I think the 4.10 gears were. After what I drove through last night, I'm going to look into putting in LS soon, I think...4-6 inches of snow can turn a 50 minute drive into almost 2 hours on back highways. Yuk.
MY truck has 4.10s and rear lsd,but it has a after market hitch from uhaul not a factory ford.I wonderd if it has the supercooling on it how do i tell?I bought the truck used and the guy gave me the order sheet w/the camper pkg marked.but it doesnt have a sliding rear window,it has the offroad pkg,and front and rear swaybars.
I believe the super cooling package gives you a thicker than stock radiator. I think I read on here that it was 2 or 2 1/2 inches thick, but I could be wrong. I would guess that the oil cooler become a part of that super cooling package. If you lay down underneath the front of your truck and look at the lower radiator hose, and trace it away from the rad, you should eventually see two smaller hoses feeding into the radiator hose. Thats where oil is pumped through the cooler radiator hose (cooling your oil).
We were sort of going over this in a Bronco thread...I'm somewhat mystified because I have the Ford trailer wiring harness and the front dual shocks, but of a frame hitch, 4.10's, LSD, or trans cooler there is no trace.
I've got the factory harness, front dual shocks, a hitch and a trans cooler and thats it. Stock 3.55's. Although I wonder if this has a Posi rear end, because I've NEVER only had one tire spin. Even on dry pavement. Maybe I have that special 3.55 rear end...
My 94 3/4 ton 4X4 460 5pd has the trailer brake harness, reciver, super rad., oil cooler reciver, 4.10 limited slip, sway bars,
but no helper springs ?
