Embarrassing moment
So I was leaving Costco tonight at around 8:45, had picked up some boxes of copy paper, file cabinets, new office chair, etc. Loaded it up in the bed, tailgate still down, then went to return the flatbed cart. Came back to truck (from the front), hopped in and drove off - completely forgot to close tailgate.
We get a few turns away from Costco, at the light about to hop on the highway. I look in my mirror and see a fellow hop out of his Superduty and run up and shut my tailgate. I felt so embarrassed that I had forgotten, and yet at the same time deeply grateful that a fellow Superduty driver saw that I had obviously unintentionally left the gate down, and was kind enough to shut it before I jumped on the highway... possibly losing some things from bed. I wanted to get out to thank him, but only had time for a wave.
Just thought I'd share in case that fellow is here on FTE by any chance. Thanks for the help! I doubt anyone else would've done such a thing other than a fellow Superduty driver.

A couple of weeks ago, I was leaving Costco and came across a guy in a Chevy towing a horse trailor. He had forgotten to close the back door of his trailor and had a passenger in the trailor. I jumped out and caught him before the light changed. He was pretty thankful as well. Gotta take care of the Chevy guys too ya know. We're all in this gig together.
On another note, can you imagine a horse landing on your hood?
