Question '94 bronco blowing smoke, help!

I have a '94 351 5.0 EFI, Eddie Bower w/ tow packg.
Truck was running great.

Went to work and parked on a incline (front higher)

Truck would start but not completely fire, no idle. Blowing white smoke, un burned gas....

I just change plugs, wires, distributer cap and rotor...

Old plugs were foul black , wet w/ gas.

Thought maybe bad gas, filled tank and dry gas....

Starts right up but not completely firing, I think....

Anyone seen this before any ideas?

Thanks

I don't know what you mean by starts, but doesn't completely fire. Can you explain that in more detail?

plugs

i replaced the plugs trouble shooting, thinking it was an ignition problem...

the car starts but no power, must tap gas pedal to keep it going...

maybe air flow related, the engine doesn't roar like it did...

Sounds like its time to pull codes.

Aside from that, you say the old plugs were "wet with gas" and black and it was "blowing white smoke". To be certain, the white smoke doesn't smell sickly sweet does it? How cold was it when this happened? If you hold the throttle open to keep it running does it still blow white smoke?

The white smoke doesn't smell sweet, it smells like gas and actual there may even be gas dripping out of the tailpipe. I live in NY, it was about 40 degrees when my trouble began. If I hold the throttle open the white smoke gets worse.

how much for the tool to get codes, would it be cheaper to tow to station? I don't have a good shop that i trust.

thanks for any help.

Yikes, well, definitely pull the codes. You don't have to buy the reader if you don't want to. A click to www.fordfuelinjection.com and a paperclip will get you everything you should need to pull the codes yourself. Sounds like yo umay be dealing with a poor spark or faulty FPR (Fuel Pressure Regulator) issue however, with such potentially dangerous symptoms, pulling the codes to be certain would be the best bet. If you have trouble with the website, a Haynes service manual explains the process of pulling codes as well.

DONT START THE RIG ANYMORE. your FPR has gone bad and is dumping way to much fuel into the motor. the gas is gonna pass the rings and get into the oil pan which will thin the oil and wash the bearings on everything inside your motor. check your oil and smell the dipstick. if it smells like gas this is for sure your problem. you will need to drain the oil and put a new oil filter on as well. might even look into the lucas oil stuff to help protect everything.
