Friend just came over to have me look at a problem he is having with his radio.

Symptons: If the radio power button is left on and the key is turned off and then the key turned on again, the radio is still on. Strange. He had an after market radio put in and it is been doing this since he got it.

Also, the display stays blank when the radio power is turned on. If you hit the clock or station display button the display lights come on.

Did they hooked up the wiring wrong? Or is the inside of the radio goofy?

Any idea which wire was hooked up wrong, if that is the problem?

Please disregard above post. All is with the radio as it should be. I had to double check the radio in my truck and it stays on when the ignition key is turned off and on.

Me be dumb!

yea, most stay on when the key is off until you open the door or for so many seconds
