Could someone who has factory arm rests on their 48 - 52 snap a picture of the location? Mine didn't come with them and I want to add them. I have a good idea of where they should go but would like to duplicate a factory install.
Also, on the window channel (top and rear), what kind of screws are used to retain it to the door frame; are they oval-head or washer-head? I have two bags of screws the same size and darned if I can remember which were used where.
Thanks a lot! About where I figured but I'd rather do it right! Thanks on the screws, too.
Point of interest, the '52 doors have a pair of ribs, one above and one below the door/window handles, instead of a large flat area (or else the ribs just don't show in your pic). The lower rib looks like it may be where the armrest goes.
On the '51-52 Five Star cabs that panel is part of the trim. It helps hold the cloth covered panel and conceals the arm rest brace pictured in the last picture. I think there should also be a thin chrome strip on the bottom of that panel.

A chrome strip? There isn't any mounting holes or proof there that there ever was. Do you have a picture of this?
Whose isn't? My F-2 is made up from parts of at least five '48-52 trucks. My '48 panel has them from at least four. My 48/51 F-4 is just starting and already I have two trucks contributing. Whenever someone asks what year they are I start singing the chorus from Johny Cash's "One pice at a time", " it's a 48, 49, 50, 51, 52........"
