Ford V10
I've got a 2003 F350 with the V10. The acceleration is not all that brisk and it's always left me a bit disappointed. I'm just about to order a 2006 Lariat F350 with the 6.0 turbo diesel because I've heard a lot of really good feedback on the engine and the acceleration is apparently quite a lot better than the V10. I would say don't get too hung up on having a V10 - it's really not all that great. I live in Canada and my only concern about going to a diesel is cold weather starting and general driveability. I guess you don't have any cold weather issues at all!!

Don, if you probably have the 3.73 rear end. Those rear ends definitely hurt the performance of the V10 since the V10 needs revs to make their power. The V10 could be as powerful as the PSD if set up properly and thats all I am saying as I don't want to get into a debate. If I could afford a SD, I would PERSONALLY go for the V10 but I would NEVER come down here and start bashing the PSD since the motor is just as good as the V10.
