Complete Bed swap

i would like to convert the stepside bed on my 63 to a bed liek this from a 64-66, https://www.ford-trucks.com/user_gal...d=1554&width=0

i forgot what kind of bed this is called,

but what would i need to do to swap them? and does anybody have an xtra one? or know where i can get one?

the bed in the pic is called a styleside. It is also a short bed which is hard to come by.

Josh, I looked at your gallery because of what sixtyfive said. Looks like your truck is a shorty too. Being that you live up in northern Ohio finding good sheetmetal is gonna be harder.

Ok thanks, would i have to do to swap out the beds? right now i just have the frame in the back, no bed and the crossbeams for the bed are also off.

Right now my truck is under two feet of snow, and i cant get it back into the garage because of the snow, so i cant really go and look at it, until i get it cleared off and back into the garage

Young_unn.. since your '63 is a shortbox, you can do this swap. if it was a '63 longbox the wheelbase would be mis-matched.
I looked at your gallery and you will pay more than the original price of your truck for a shortbed styleside, anywhere. They are fairly rare and desirable.
but, I know a guy in Omaha that has one for sale, if you are interested.

Ok thanks i know it will fit, What Parts will i have to buy to put the new bed on? or will it bolt straight on? i have no experience with standard beds

The bed will bolt on without any modifacations. It's a direct swap. You'll need the harness with the new bed for the tail lights. Your present harness won't reach the tail lamps in the new bed. You just unplug the harness in the left rear corner and plug the new bed's harness into the same connector.
