Which lobe is which?
Looking at a performamce smallblock Ford camshaft from front to back, which lobe is which? Is the first lobe the no. 1 cylinder intake, then the second no. 5 intake, the third no. 1 exhaust? the forth no. 5 exhaust? And so on? Anybody know?
I'm measuring lift on an uninstalled cam and can't remember this. Thanks.

Almost...the first lobe is indeed #1 intake, the next is #5 exhaust, the third #1 exhaust, the forth #5 intake and so on. Valve arrangement is reversed when you flip the head around for the other bank so bank 1234 is, front to rear, IE IE IE IE while bank 5678 is EI EI EI EI.
