NEWBEE with Rod
I am new to this great forum site. I have a 1950 Ford F1 pickup. It is a rod and I bought it pretty well done and I am trying to learn about fords as I am a converted GM guy(sorry). My truck has a 302 ford (year?) and a C4 auto transmission. It has a Volare front end and a 8" rearend. I just took off the stock 2 barrel Carb and put an new Elderbrock carb and manifold. Can somone tell me does the C4 have a manual kick down or does it work off vacuum for passing gear kick down? I am trying to learn and will appreciate any help.
