New tranny lasted 42k and lost all top end, lost 1st gear on downhill grade. New one put in but wont warranty. Says codes on engine are problematic...I disagree. Code for cps easy to fix, now code for fuel pressure higher or lower than normal.Still no reason. Computer junk? Banks chip the culprit? Supposed to be a build tranny. Any suggestions? O and all I do for a living is transport trailers and of course it blows on the largest one ive had to pull in months. The old one lasted for 309k
If you got the extra money laying around or what ever a bts is go ahead and ship it to me. I wasnt asking for a wise crack on a trully problematic situation that affects my livelyhood as well as the people whose fema trailers im pulling so they can have a xmas in some form of personal shelter. Yes that is a runon sentence, and I already spent downtime and over 2600 for a tranny. Thanks.
BTS is commonly referred to www.BriansTruckShop.com , he makes awesome 4r100 transmissions. when my TC goes out, i am getting one of his. i also agree, that comment wasnt needed.
code for fuel pressure higher or lower than normal is from the chip.
I would tend to think that maybe the shop didn't do such a good job ... being as you got so many mile out of the first tranny.
Do you run a tranny gauge and has the rebuild tranny been running a lot hotter than the original ?
sorry to hear about your trouble.... hope you get the problem taken care of by the shop that did the work
that's one of the scary things for me... when my tranny goes, (hopefully many years from now), there are no good tranny shops around here... good luck with your issues man... i hope those guys decide to stand behind their work...
First: It wasn't a wise crack! Second: You act like pulling FEMA trailers for MONEY to people who Truly need them is some Big Hearted thing you are doing. I volunteered all 3 of my Super Dutys to pull trailers for FEMA for 1 week. I told them I would pay my drivers, all they had to come up with is the Fuel. I don’t Own-Run a transport Company, I own a construction Company, they had so much BS red tape I just told them to Screw it!! If you would have gotten the BTS to begin with you would not have the Down-Time!! Then you would still making money pulling those FEMA trailers!
This tranny feels different then the first one he put in. I just installed the banks 6gun tuner and if im reading it right it reads tranny temp also. The first trip out I was running the banks chip for 75 and I stacked this on top. I also ran biodezl so this is telling me that the torque couldnt handle that much power. Tranny shouldnt break cause of the motor.

Cause and effect, I posted for some help. Not someone to use thier 100 percent hindsight. Yes I pull for money, but im pulling for half as much due to my location and the amount of empty miles. You dont know me so a form of opinion is all you have. Let me give you some insight. Not just anyone can offer to fema, its a long process of paperwork. Yes its bs and paperwork. Your the guru and im the senior so maybe I didnt have the info before I purchased my first tranny, hence the need to post help. Im not going to insult you cause your a educated person with a ford. I just stated a fact. Thanks anyway
