The nav system was $650 including shipping from ebay. Included unit, GPS ant, DVD and connectors. It still had the protective tape on the screen. You see them occasionally but I would not get the factory unit that is operated from CD's. Mine is the 6 CD indash, MP3, sirus ready with DVD Nav. Very nice unit; just working out the last few little bugs.

Wish I had seen this post. I dropped same amount on the Tom-Tom. It does work OK, but the indash would have been so much nicer. No suction cups and wires running across the dash. Do you have any pictures of the installation?

My favorite accessory in my '05 F250 CC is my 6.0 diesel The second is my LEER browning addition canopy with Yakima racks. I use the locked gun storage for fishing poles.

I'm with Polarbear, nothing is more useful than the trunkmonkey. I used to have several of the videos on my old laptop, until the harddrive crashed...

The best $40 I spent on my truck was for c-betr convex mirrors that hang between the door and the stock mirror. Those little crappy rectangular convex mirrors don't do the job.

Smile Remote start?

Hey Jello, I'm curious about the remote start/alarm/idle thingy.
How much, from where and hard to install? Just got my 06 250 this week and today it's having the Rhino sprayed on. Haven't had it long enough to evaluate all the options and which are the best. Heated seats are great. The 18" wheels look better than the 17" and the power rear slider is very convient. I think I should have gotten the back up alarm since I almost clipped the rail around the truck dock at work yesterday. I guess my ego stopped me. I have the brush bumpers and an organizer that fits under the back jump seats coming in a week. Another question: How does a remote start work with the glow plugs in cold weather? Appreciate a reply. Keep em rollin!!!

Actually, my best acc was a used PDA from ebay. A nice little pocketpc that could run microsoft Excel. After using little booklets to record all my work and gas mileage since I started driving, now that I have started to do detailed deductions on my taxes, having it downloaded from the PDA straight to the computer and right into a spreadsheet is heaven on earth. It saves me over 14 hours of typing numbers from the booklets to the computer when it gets to tax time.

You can get a remote starter/alarm combo from the dealer or any aftermarket accessory/electronics shop. I like the Compustar or the Astrostart but there are many different brands to choose from.

For the glow plugs the remote starters have a timed delay (15 sec. is usually good).

High idle mod-- I have a timer relay that bumps my idle to 1200rpm 3 minutes after I start it with the remote. Warms up nice.
