I'm currently doing a frame off restore on my 1955 F100, after removing the stock clutch and brake pedal, I realized that there is something missing. I'm going back with a frame mounted master and booster, using the stock brake pedal. If I remove the stock clutch pedal, there is nothing to hold the brake pedal in place, is there a kit I'm missing? I'm using a master/booster kit from CPP, I did notice that they sell a kit if your using your stock clutch pedal, but I don't seem to find anything else. I did notice that I can remove the old clutch arm from the rod however, still don't understand what keeps the stock brake pedal in place. thanks for you help.
Never mind, it helps when you open the box and look at all the parts inside the box. There is a new shaft that comes with the brake booster kit. thanks again.
I don't know if 48 and 55 interchange, but I do know the pedals in my 55 come through the floor. Does any one know the best donor vehicle for swinging pedals that would include power breaks and a hydraulic clutch?
Doc
I used the swinging pedals PBMC and CMC from a 93 Camaro, mostly because it's where my T56 came from. Had to modify the mount a bit to widen the spread between the pedals to straddle the steering column, but otherwise it fit well, see my gallery.
