2 door Galaxie
I was just on the sgi salvage web site and they have a 70 Galaxie at the Saskatoon compound up for auction. It has been rolled but it does'nt look to bad.

Hey my neighbor has one for parts. That car is here in saskatoon fomoko1. Its at sgi and bidding stops on wed. This is an XL model with the sports roof. The neighbors car has sports roof also. Maybe someone from here will get the car and fix it. The rest of the car looked not bad except the roof. Buy my neighbors and cut the 2 roofs and make one huh?
I had a 69 like it and totaled it back in 78 and it would not of took much to fix. I still miss that car.

Well I went and had a look at that car today. The interior was in very good shape. No cracked dash, but someone had repainted it black, the seats were not torn and the rest of the interior was in very good condition. The carpet had been replaced. The body was pretty close to no rust, but several places sjowed bondo in thin layers. The roof sustained the worst damage. The right A pillar was pushed over some. If A person chopped the roof and put on a replacement the car could be back on the road.
The car is an XL without the console, had straight bench seat.
Motor was a 351 windsor and it started for me, but runs a bit rough. The front clip was very good andjust the 1/4's had damage that is fixable.
So there is a little update on this car. I only wish I had the money and income to go for it. So if you guys are interested, there you have the news.

It does look pretty decent on the website, although a guy would have to paint it like black or red or something

The interior is black and green. Mostly green and that is probally why someone painted the dash blask. It was probally green.
The other thing I have found good about those sports roof designs of 69-70 are they make good for cutting the roof off a wagon and putting on the sport roof from that model and you have a LTD Ranchero. They give you your rear window and a nice slope down onto the 1/4 panels covering over door and window openings.

yes look under www.sgi.sk.ca then go to vehicles sales and click on cars for bids. This will give you a list of vehicles and years. Put arrow over interested car and clic and it will give you a picture of the car and a little bio. The bio seems not to be enough. They also have stuff that are not cars. I saw they have a big screen tv there for bid now and when I was there they had it on and working.

Yeah I checked the XL today. Thatr was a deal. They also have a 86 Ford XLT power windows A/C for $800. Damage is fixable. need rad support and right fender and wheel well. No frame damage. Good box and cab, interior is pretty good shape. Truck has just over 200,000 km. Hit something that just damaged area above the bumper and scratched into the door. Tires were pretty bad though. needs new tread. I have the parts to fix, but alas the coin is not there. A person could get the truck for probally around $600 if they offered.
