5.4 cam swap?

My friend and I have put just about every bolt-on part on his 02 F-150 2wd shorbed/5.4. He want to do a cam swap, but we've never tore into a modular motor. My experience has been with windsor engines, so any help/info yall can post up would be great.

Oh, yes I did a search too.

You'll have to pull the front cover, unbolt the ps pump, ac compressor, and a few other misc items. My best advice would be to get a shop manual and follow it step by step. It's not tough at all if you watch what you're doing, just quadruple check the timing before putting it all together and firing it up. You don't want any ptv contact...The first motor I tore into was my 4.6 (heads, cams, etc) and it runs fine. Read up over on modulardepot.com they have a lot of good useful info on the mod motors
