Did your insurance premiums go up recently?
The insurance on my 06 f350 drw just went up 140 dollars every 6 months. I called State Farm and they told me it went up because the vehicle rating went from 18 to 23. What ever that means. So i got a quote from Progressive and it was within a few dollars of my new State Farm rate.
Why would the vehicle rating change so much in a 6 month period?
I had no accidents, tickets, or claims...
Terry.
I have State Farm also.
Superduty it is one of the highest stolen trucks in the country.
I believe thats why the rating changed
I would go after a better explanation from your agent.
Rich
I am paying $543 every 6 month for my 04 F250 6.0 with $250 deductables. That No accidents or Tickets and State Farms Guarranted renewal as long as I am a customer. I am in Harris Co. TX 4th highest auto insurance premiums in the US.
hey function12, I have state farm also with 250 deductable and guarranted renewal and my 6 month premium was 499 from june to december but the bill I just got for the next 6 months went up about 140 more. I am going by there today to find out what happened.
But I did get online quotes from Progressive and Geico and they were both within a few dollars of my newly inflated State Farm rates.

You're worried about your homeowners insurance in B-more??? I'm afraid we're going to really take some here in Houston next year.
Last year my homeowners went up over two hundred dollars because of hurricane damage claims in Florida and fire damage in California. You wouldn't think in Baltimore we would have to pay for what happens at the other end of the US, but we do. The insurance companys spread the cost to everybody. At least mine does.
I have Allstate insurance in South Central Va. I have full coverage on 2000 350 CC 4x4 PSD and a 97 Ford Explorer 4x4. I also have a 95 Mazda B2300 truck, 89 Honda Accord with just liability and 2 utility trailers and my premium is about $1000 every six months. The full coverage is with $100 deductibles.

Thats the beauty of insurance. Everyone has to pay for the people that like to live below sea level or on a beach that gets hit by hurricanes 6 times a year. They know it's inevitable, and expect everyone to feel sorry for them and help them out when it's no longer sunny in paradise.
