I have all Lightning Audio speakers in my '89 with a Pioneer HU. When I'm driving, the LR 6X9 can be heard over the rest of the speakers, however,if you set the Fad/Bal to just the LR you can tell a big difference. If you sit in the middle, you get the full surround of all 4.
The truck did'nt come with rear speakers,I added them in with 16 AWG wire and individual speaker boxes. 1 for each side.
The + and - are matched up correctly, connections are clean and tight, all speakers are in the same family. The fronts are in the doors.
The truck also came with no insulation in the back. Only very little in the door panels and some under the vinal flooring.
Could no insualtion cause this?
What else could?
Thanks.

I assume LR to be left rear
also assuming all the speakers are in good working condition
the biggest difference is probably the sensitivy rating for the
different speakers-and the distance to the listener
but that shouldnt be a huge problem-- as you can probably adjust
with the fade\balance or even listener position in your head unit
to where it sounds good to you

well one that i can see is that you are prolly closest to that speaker, and it also prolly has the easiest line of sight to your ears. in my ext ranger my rear right speaker is about the only one i hear unless i put something between it and me. what can always do is try tilting the speakers. my friend built special boxes in his car so that the speakers all are tilted to give everyone an equal sound from each speaker
Yeah I hear my passenger's door speaker over my other three. Sitting in the middle, it sounds awesome. Passenger's seat hears the driver's door speaker more. All about how the sound is projected.
My rear speakers are on each side of the cab but shoot right into the door, so I don't hear them unless I crank it, then they walk off and leave my door speakers (they are amped).
Lol,we just cant win...The sound system in my camry sounds good. All speakers sound equal and don't run one anouther over. Which leads me to anouther question,
How is it,STOCK speakers have more bass then my aftermarkets? Is it because the stock is using a trunk as a speaker box and aftermarkets are using a tiny box?
Thanks.
