Ok guys, here's a chance to give your contribution to the world (of Ford Trucks, that is......)
I am putting together a FAQ list, and I need some suggestions on questions to have in it. This will be in a sticky at the top of the page, and I figure there will be several links to previous threads, articles, etc. Anything anybody contributes will be credited to them.
So post away, let me know what you want to know.
(I already know the answer to this, but I think this should be in the FAQ). The answer can address both the conversion to disc brakes (and point to the tech article) and also adding just a booster to an all drum set-up.
Great idea Jared, I had not seen it til this morning when I checked a link to the Ranger forum. Ken00 has made quite a links page over there. I am guessing that you have seen it and are thinking along those lines for here. yes???
How about things such as what to look for when buying one of our model trucks, sucha s, the rusty inner fenders and radiator support, lower corners of fenders, etc
These are some great ones, guys, I like the idea of common rust spots to watch.
John, actually I was thinking along the lines of the FAQ in the FE forum. There are articles available on a lot of the common stuff, like power steering in 2wds, and disk brakes on 2wds, but the same for 4x4 F-100s isn't really available, and we don't really have anything on here about identifying between the different years, what will swap, etc.
Great start guys, let's keep the ideas rolling.
Ok, I'm going to start letting this drift so the top doesn't get too cluttered. Thanks for the suggestions so far, feel free to add more here or PM me any ideas you may have.
parts identification and part #s are always handy. simple diy projects like heat shields for starters. conversion tables for tire size and axle ratios.(or links to them) trim, paint and interior codes. vin codes........
