Reading Stu's thread, and everybody's replies, I thought it would be neat to see everybody's dog, or dogs. What's their name? What kind are they? Where they a rescued dog? What's their story?
Daisy, AKA Daisy Duke, Daisy Mae, and Baby, is my two-year-old White Labby (okay, okay, technically she's a 'Yellow' Lab, but trust me, she's bleach white---when she's clean!). She's a cajun, rescued off of the turnpike in Louisianna---she was in bad shape when I got her. She was mal-nurished, and had one of her pads on her paw ripped off. When she first came to our house, she immediately took to me. She always wants to be sitting either on my feet (if I'm sitting), or sitting beside me---leaning against my leg (if I'm standing). She came at the perfect time, having put my Shelty down a few months before her arrival. She's great, and I love her to death---so much in fact, the girly-friend gets a little jealous! Unfortionately, I have since moved out of my parents house, and into my own house, which does not have a yard that is big enough for her. It's the one of the hardest things I had to do concerning this move---leaving her there. Mom says she still sleeps in my old room---but not in her spot---in my old spot. Luckily, I am only a few miles away (10), but never-the-less, I miss her something fiece. One of the most loyal dogs I've ever owned. So loyal to me in fact that if I am in the same room with her, and somebody gives her a command---she looks at me---waiting for the okay (drove my mother nutts!). She listens to other people just fine if I'm not around, but if I'm anywhere where she can see me---she waits.
(sigh)---I can brag on my dog all night long.
So, let's see yours!

P.S. Stu---you should let us see a picture of Ben---if you have one available.
I don't have any pics to upload, not that I know how anyway. But my dogs are Papillons. Rowdy and Sadie. Bro and sis. Purebreds and neutered, etc. We don't care for all the show dog stuff. They are absoulutely brilliant and intelligent dogs. We bought Sadie from the breeder and found out that Rowdy , who was at a pet store, was her brother..so we went and got him too. We'd had one Papillon prior to them... TD...( Tiny Dog ). She was completely awesome too, but a sick dog from day one..I think she was the result of inbreeding..but nevertheless..she was a total love. If I can figure out how to load an image befoe my editing ability is gone, I'll post one here.
Currently we have Dante ( terrier mix ) Wiley ( Rott/Lab mix ) and Chelsea ( Rott / hound mix ). Dante and Wiley we got from friends but the good story is about Chelsea. We took our other 2 dogs to the vet for their shots and so on and the vet asked us is we were interested in another dog. They let her out of the cage and we fell in love inmediately, the dog and my wife and I. So we took her home. The way she wound up at the vet was she was picked up by the police and brought there. They scanned her for a microchip but it showed up as a tabby cat in Tennessee, not quite a Rott/ Lab mix. She stayed at the vet clinic for 4 months, leaving once to live at one of the workers house but she didn't get along with their birds she she went back. The rest is history.
I would like to mention my Rotty named Pepper that die a couple of years ago. This was the sweetest dog ever and would change anyone's mind about Rotts. RIP Pepper.
LilDuke, Did you feed the cat a lemon? That's a great picture. Animals have so much personality, it still amazes me how 'human' they can sometimes be. I'm trying to load a picture of Ben, with little luck right now.
Spice, 4 year old dobie (avatar over there). AKA spaz, scooby (has the floppy ear thing happening), and sometimes shortbus (not the brightest bulb sometimes). Get two reactions with her when out, ohhhh a Doberman (slowly backing away), or ohhhh a dobie (hand out to pet her).
My lady was dangling a tin foil ball above her head. She was trying to get it to play with when I took the pic. Once in a lifetime shot. Everytime I see it I laugh!
My 8 year old black lab, Foster (ya after the beer,,dont ask why)we got him from a breeder. neutered, Hes a big sissy.I swear he talks, when we lived in town we'd say...go to the creek, where we live now, he'd get to riled up he'd pee himself
my ? year old White german shepard/?? mix buster, we call him polar bear or bi-polar bear, He really doesnt have mood swings, but hes so hyper in the morning..and when he rolls on the ground he kinda grunts..hes kinda wierd. He was my grampas dog, WHen my grandpa died..no one really wanted him...so i asked the folks if i could bring him home, That was back in febuary. This dog (buster aka polar bear)just showed up at my granpas house...right as he was getting a divorce from his pychotic wife..and kept him company...boy did he love that dog.
