I recenly bought a ford 198 ford f 250 from a local junkyard it has a 5.0 fuel injected 302 in it. The engine wont start i think it has something to do with the fuel injection if any one has schematichs or diagrams of the ful system please post them also if anyone has anny ideas of what could be wrong please tell me abouot it.
Hello, if it wont start check for spark and then for fuel if u think its the fuel spray some starting fluid in the hose going to the intake if it starts then ur on ur way check relays fuses and power to pump some vehichels have reset switches, get a chiltons and do ya alittle investigating thats how i learned well good luck to ya!.

Why was the truck in the junkyard? Was it wrecked? The first thing I would check is the Inertia switch, which cuts off power to the fuel pump(s) in an impact. Vehicles in a wrecking yard are not handled gently and it could have been triggered at any point, even after it's arrival there.
Listen at the tank for the fuel pump running for a second to charge the system as soon as the key is turned on. Have someone turn the key on, or off and on again a few times to be sure while you hold your ear near the fill tube with the gas cap off.
If the Inertia switch is set and you have power to the pump(s) and can hear pump sounds, then move on to the ignition. As Shade1965 said, an easy way to check for the engine's willingness to run is a quick shot of starting fluid. If it starts and then dies, you have spark and a fuel delivery problem. If no start, then no spark. Move on to the ignition system.
Also, pull the codes. There should be something stored in the computer if you've been leaving a battery in it and trying to get it started, but if you pull the battery it ereases the codes from memory.
This should give you a place to start anyway. Good luck, and keep us posted!
