dvd system not working

Has anyone with the factory installed dvd system had any problems with the unit not working from time to time? At times won't take dvd, but can hear fan or motor running, then it will start working again, does it reset itself? Any suggestions?

I have had simular problems with a 2002 factory DVD. I pulled the fuse and re-inserted it again and it started working.
