Last night i bought a 460 to put in my 78, but its from a lincoln, so of course the mounts don't match up. All the mounts i could find online are for conversion kits. See when i bought my 78, it was without motor, and i was told that it came from the factory with a 460. Since then i have learned that the guy i bought it from is probably one of the least credible people on the planet, sooo i was hoping somebody would know what motor these mounts are for. Thanks.

I don't think those are 351M/400 mounts. It looks like you are missing the block mount and they look alot like the 460 mounts I have for my 78 bronco wich has a custom bracket that allows me to use these mounts I speak of. They are stock 4x2 460 mounts but keep in mind that a 4x4 is a different animal.
Truck manifolds are 2.5, I think and cars are 2.25 or something like that. Either way a truck manifold has the larger exhaust exit. The truck manifold on the pass. side turns down and inward more than the car manifold so the car manifold will hit the frame. I know this first hand. I have also seen the frame crack where people have cut the frame to clear the car manifold.
I don't think the 203 ever came in a divorced set up and it is a full time case which runs by way of a chain. Not the strongest set up to have. The 205 came divorced and attached and is gear driven which makes it a much stronger case and is used over the 203, for off road use. People do use parts from the 203 to make a doubler t-case set up. The t-case ends up with two shifters.
203 and 205 both were made divorced and mated
had a 75 f250 with auto trans and divorced 203 (gas hog!)
as for the exaust, cheaper to put truck headers on it.than you don`t worry about hit problems or broken frame
as for the mount they look like 6 cyl mounts for 2x4
Those look kinda like my 460 mounts. It's been awhile since I put the engine in. The pad that bolts to the block is different from a car to a truck. I couldn't use any of the car mounts.
does anyone know the distance from the back of the trans to the rear yoke centerline on a mated 205?

That depends on which set up you're asking about. There's a short one and a longer one. I have both the short and long adapters and a C6 trans so I could measure both for you. Also this is a big block C6 set up, correct?
