When I bounce the rear end, wheather driving or by hand, I hear a squeek. It is coming from the right front leaf spring mounting bolt. Now how would I go about removing the bolt and greasing it.
Do I jack the truck up?
Do I put the jack under the leaf spring mounting bracket and remove the bolt?
^ Yeah, mine were a pain. I ended up torching the bolts and pounding them out, and even then it was tough getting it lined back up to get the new bolt in. If it isn't all that annoying, I'd say dont worry about it.
Spray down the bolt with some type of rust penetrator. Then jack up the rear end of truck, and use jack stand on the frame rails, just in front of the front rear leaf perches.
Loosen and remove the nut on the right front leaf spring mounting bolt. Jack up remove the right rear tire. Slightly but not completely, slide out the right front leaf spring mounting bolt. Now some grease can be place in the leaf spring bolt hole. Constant Velocity Grease work very well.
When trying to remove the leaf spring mounting bolt, raise up the axle to relieve the weight of axle on spring mounting bolt, Do not raise the axle to much or it will also create pressure on bolt.
