heater prob
heater prob
well... the heater motor was working fine, no noise ( rattles ect. ) and all of a sudden wont work on any setting at all now. ( soon as it got cold of course)
checked the fuse it looks good, the connectors on the blower motor are all on. i notices it after i took the truck to the carwash yesterday, i looked in the chilton but that does`nt help much unless i want to dissmantle everything.
any ideas? thanx

Had the same problem
In fact still DO have the same problem but at least my high speed setting works.
It's most likely the resistor that sits in the firewall-mounted heater box, right next to your blower motor. Ford dealer will sell you the "thermistor" and the pigtail connector for ~$30-50 and you just screw the old one out, cut wires off at the connector, splice in the new pigtail connector, screw it back in and away you go. Unless of course your heater motor is on the way out, in which case you may be pulling too much current thru the thermistor, which means you'll blow your thermistor soon after (happened to me).
I'm going to spend$40 and put in another blower motor - mine's startin' to squeal now - then another thermistor and should be good to go
I could be wrong but this might be your problem
