My brand new Super Swaper LTB's one just got slashed . They caught the crazy $#2! after he broke out 6 houses windows. He was only able to put a small gash in the side wall. My question is will the local tire dealer be able to repair it or will it have to be replaced? Next if it has to be replaced do the LTB's come with a road hazard coverage or not? Because the local cop thought that if the did i should go that way. any helpful advice will be greatly appriceiated. thanxs
that guy is lucky i didn't see him doing it because u mess with my truck u might not live to regret it. I shoot to kill
Interco (the company that makes them LTB's) provides no kind of road hazzard coverage so it depends on where you got them. Some dealers do offer this protection at a pro-rated price (Discount Tire Co. does this). As to whether it can be repaired or not, I could be wrong but I don't believe a sidewall slash like that is repairable. You'd need to talk to a shop to be sure though.
sorry about that dude its gotta suck... unfortunately im gonna have to go with ivan regarding the sidewall. my buddy works for a tire company around here and if theres even a small puncture in the vicinity of the sidewall they wont touch it...some kinda taboo goin on there so im gonna guess getting a slash repaired isnt gonna happen.
well they ordered my a new tire. Hopefully this wack can pay for all the damages he has caused. Owell at least it was my tire and not a window like all the rest of the houses on my block.
I'd have rather lost a window . . . costs less. I think the sidewalls can't be repaired due to their flexing, it pulls the patch apart. Maybe a tire expert will chime in here and let us know. I used to do a little bit of tire work and I know on a radial we couldn't make a patch hold on a sidewall for anything.
