I have decided that my CPS needs to be changed after reading all of the topics on here. I found one on E-bay with the part number: F7TZ-12K073-A and I need to know if this one will work. My F-250 is a '99 w/218k miles on it and this is the first time that the CPS will be changed. The numbers on the engine block are as follows: 0912355 and KE 002 BC. Please let me know if the CPS that I found on E-Bay will work on my engine. Thanks in advance.
If yours is still working good why would you change it out? The new one could go out in 10k miles or it could last forever. I do agree with you buying a spare and carring it with you, but I wouldn't change it until it gives you reason to.

I thought that I would change mine for a couple of reasons;
1- I now know that the "e-bay" one is a known good part
2- I now have my original (known good part) in my glovebox
3- I can now change one out in the dark with my eyes closed because of the few minutes spent in the freezing cold driveway, insted of the freezing cold, muddy, muddy, muddy, cougar infested, logging roads. lol
JOE-M, I have decided to change it since my truck has lately been stalling out when approching a stop, and then this past weekend it stalled out three times in a row while sitting in Thanksgiving traffic here in VA. Luckily, when the check engine light came on this last time, it went off when the truck was re-started. Thanks for the input on choosing the right one, I don't want to go through putting a new one in and it not working. I will let you all know how it goes.
