Warn Hubs

hello all, i just picked up some warn premium manual hubs for my 99 f250 and was need some help. i installed them and found the fit was not as tight as stock and they seemed to not come close to the plastic trim piece. is this the way it is or did i do something wrong?

Nope, you did nothing wrong. Just the way they fit.

seems like it would let water and grime in, have you had any problems with this?

The fit should be very tight with the hub bearing assy. During install you need to look at the orientation of the warns. They will fit better one way than the other. If it is not lined up right, remove the screws and rotate the entire switch cover about a third of a turn and see if it seats right. The gap between the warns and the chrome beauty cover is normal. Some people machine down the covers on a mill, I just took all four off. I like the lug nut visible look.

I painted the inside of the chrome cover with a black satin paint. It does not show a shadow likw the chrome does.

Yea That Is A Good Idea About Painting The Insides Of The Crome Covers.
I Think I'll Paint The Inside Black Just Like Bob Goodsell.

Thanks For The Idea
