i have 2001 350 diesel i was just upstate temps were 8 to15 degrees at night 2 mornings truck would start 3 mornings truck would not start i think it might be the glow plugs just thought it was wierd that somtimes it would start other times it did not until i pluged it in also the motor is still under warranty to april of 2006 if its the glow plugs any one know if its a warranty item thanks for your help
It's most likely your glow plug relay rather than the plugs themselves. I've replaced 2 GPR's and both became intermittent before the completely failed. You might want to read the hard start/gpr/glowplugs sticky post at the top of this page.
