Transmission Problems? Check Your TPS
Several months worth of trying to troubleshoot what seemed to be an intermittently slipping Automatic Transmission on my 97 Explorer, finally replaced the throttle position sensor and all problems gone....runs like a dream. It never coded any problems, and because it was intermitttent I had trouble diagnosing with my multimeter, so I spent the $40 to replace it and wish I had done it sooner. Thought I would share......
