hy i just put the second new clutch in my bronco2 the first one was a rebuild and was slipping so i figured id buy a new one and itll work but that diddnt fix it i put the new one and it still slips theres a bushing on the shaaft thats supposed to be removed but i cant remember if i have removed it im pretty sure i did has anyone had this problem? and if so how did you fix it ?

wonder if they clutch slave is releasing properly. and also when you put in the new clutch did you have the fly wheel resurfaced? or atleast clean it with brake parts cleaner to remove any grease/oil from the the flywheel? and did you install a new release (throw out) bearing? after replacing all this . did you bleed the clutch? things to check into.
ohh one more thing that just came to mind the clutch itself is directional.. if you put it in backwards it will slip. it has a flywheel side and a pressure plate side. just one more thing to look for.
ya sunday night after i posted my problem i desided to take it apart and do it again it took me from 10pm to 3am on my garage floor with a scissor jack "it sucked" but i found out u have to take the bell housing of and remove a bush before installing the new throwout bearing. needless to say i figured it out and got 3 hours of sleep before school monday mourning. but thanks for the advice and i did resurface it and cleaned it and it was in the right way
