Engine or Tranny??

Have a question for you all. Earlier today I took off in my truck and for about the first 10 or 15 min everytime I would stop the truck would die. After that it ran fine for the rest of my running around. My truck is a 98 Ranger with the 2.5L. Less than a month ago I replaced all the plugs and plug wires, anitfreeze, and all the other normal things you do when you do an annual tune-up on a vehicle. When my Cavlier started doing this it was because the torque converter was going bad but I can't think that with only 100,000 miles on the engine and tranny that the torque converter would be the problem this time. Any help as soon as posible would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ahead of time for any advice.

Check and clean the IAC, it controls the air intake at idle.

What kind of stalling are we talking about? Does it struggle then die? Or does it just flat out die with no warning?

It struggles a little and then dies. But then tonight when I went out again after it had sat for about 3 hours it ran just fine.

Well, check and clean the IAC and I'd say MAF as well, why not. Not sure on your IAC location, Autozone.com could prolly tell you.
