Whats the price of gas in your area? Here in southern Michigan its $1.599. I had to get my 64 F100, 292 3spd. out of storage and leave my gas guzzlin 4x4s at home.
Gas here is also rising pretty fast! the average cost of 89 octane gas here is 1.60 or so. Some go as low as 1.499 to 1.799 a gallon. Premium Gas is a killer for my BMW... Premium gas (92 octane) jumped from 1.599 to 1.899 a gallon in just 2 weeks.
I use to be a against alternative fuel vehicles because of their lack of power and expense...but now i think its not such a bad idea. I think mother Earth is startin to tell us something too.. we'll see what happens.
Here on the east coast, the price is 1.59 for 87 octane, went up again last night, premo is up to 1.79 and I've been told to expect it to go up at least another 5-10 cents in the next week or so. The weather has been better, now I'm mostly on the scooter. Plus side(if you can call it that)is that maybe there won't be as many drivers to deal with when workin' on the road! Chuck P.
its about $1.50 here in rural tennessee. I saw something on the news the other day that some of the members of OPEC are begining to feel that "limiting the production of gasoline may not be in the best intrest of the general public", no kidding. Anyway, that could mean the prices won't go as high as is predicted. If it goes over two dollars, I think i'll have to get some electric roller skates or something!
$1.499 for 87 octane, with the standard $.10 increment between grades. Unfortunately, my gas-guzzling 1990 only likes the pricey stuff since it's rebuild last year. Seems that compression might have a little something to do with that.
Hard to believe that last year I bought 92 octane for .999!!!!!!!!! And 87 was down to .799 here at the time! Guess we're having to make up for all of the money those poor oil tycoons lost back then, huh?

let's put it this way.$10 bucks got me 6.4 gallons of it in n\c kansas.
also,
a quart of earl is $1.50 for good oil.ever noticed that it hardly ever goes up???????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????????how much oil do you think is in a gallon of regular unleaded.they have the goldmine, yep you guessed it.we got the shaft.....blue=
Right now unleaded is at $1.39/gallon and Diesel is $1.57-$1.65/gallon. Hearing rumors that it may top out at $2.50 a gallon before it is over. This is getting stupid.
Just filled my tank today, cost me $1.59 for premium (93) at a station not to far from Houston Tx. The gas at this station has been the same price for a little over two months (I think)

Guess I should have claned up that dr. pepper I spilled into the keyboard up.
Well, all I know here in Canada is that I can't afford my weekly mortgage payments for my fuel tank But I buy it anyway...
91 octane here in New Brunswick is 89.5 per litre, so multiplying that by 3.785 to get a gallon, works out to about 3.39 per gallon. On top of that, I pay $3500 a year for insurance on my 95 XL 4x4, 302 5 speed.
I should move to the states and get a job there!
I feel for you Les. The gas here in North Bay, Ontario is $.769/liter ($2.91/us gal). I parked my truck because of $200 a month fuel bill and bought a 4 cylinder beater. I miss my truck but i am getting used to my gas miser car. I still take my truck out for the occasional ride
