thottle binds on i6

thottle binds on i6

hello i have an 86 f150 with a binding thottle only when the engine is running.I also have a 76 f100.both have inline 6s.

Try getting a new throttle cable. I had the same problem on my '84 & inspection reviled a half-broken cable. I got mine from NAPA, but I'm sure others carry them as well.

Second that suggestion. Good to have a new one anyway since it's a critical part. Not too tough to replace other than the crawling around.

i would make sure to get a good quality cable when getting a replacement.... i got one at pepboys for like 35 bucks... it hung wide open one night only 8K miles later..... ordered one from the ford dealer for 52 dollars and it works awsome, better than the cheap one did even when it was new.
