I'm ready to put a new Edlebrock intake and 600 cfm carb on my '74 302 in place of the old 2 barrel. I think that a non ERG with electric choke is the way to go, although in central Florida my no-choke carb is not a problem after a brief warm up. Where do I go for the electrical source to feed the choke? As always thanks for your tips and assistance in keeping ol "Black Jack" on the road.:+
I don't know if the alternator hook up is key activated, which you need. I just put the same set up on my 73 F250 4x4 and there is a key activated line on the same harness that contains my coil supply, oil and water sensor lines, and something else that I cannot recall at this moment. I just wired it up to that. Works Good!
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 13-Feb-02 AT 06:27 PM (EST)]Yes the stator connection is Key activated(actually by rotation of the alternator).
This is by far the best spot for a choke hook-up(it's factory).
