Good Thing it's a long weekend.....

Well I decided to fix a dribble leak I found on the front of the engine. It turned into a major project. The leak was actually between the timing cover and the block. Everybody said try some Barrs Leak that will fix it, nope not me I wanted to do it right. So off came the engine front parts and down to the timing cover. Off it came and there it was a wrinkle in the factory gasket. It looks as though it has dripped for all 16K miles. It only did it when it was cold and then only a drop or two at a time. But after 4 hours of tear down and clean off I got it ready to go back together, right this time.....

Glad you got under control! I agree, if your not going to do it right, don't do ot at all.

Good to hear that you got it done. BTW, any broken water pump bolts? Also are you saying that your rig only has 16k miles? Have I seen pics of your white bronco on another site?

No mine is Black w/ red two-tone but does have 16K miles. That white one is the choicest example of a low mileage Bronco I've ever seen though. No broken WP bolts but some strange "bolts" more like studs with fixed nuts. Don't know what they would be used for but reused them any way. The one thing that was odd was the mix of SAE and Metric bolts. Is this common for a 1994 model? Also the Air Pump has a s/s braided hose from a strange looking s/s pod to the pump. I know it's emissions stuff but I've never seen it stainless steel before.

Well, all done, No runs, no drips, no errors. I did find out that those threaded studs are for the Mustang. Weird thing is that it's running about 20 degrees cooler, new antifreeze ya think?
