ect & timing
i have a question about the ect sensor on a 93 5.0. does the ect sensor have something to do with the ecm`s adjustment of ignition timing? if it was bad the timing could be off a little?

It only affect the timing indirectly, since that tells the computer when to go into closed loop and starts adjusting the timing. If that is not reading correctly, the engine will run rich or lean.
