What's your budget?

I run the MSD billet distributor, MSD 6al ignition and an MSD coil. It works fine.

if I had it to do again, I'd run a Peformance Distributor DUI setup. ( http://www.performancedistributors.com/ ) simpler, less clutter.

If you want something more affordable, just get a duraspark setup for a later model FE.

As for oil pump, most of us run the melling high volume pump, HV57

Timing sets: I'm not sure there's even a popular choice here. I run the edelbrock, but I suspect most any name brand true-roller setup would do fine.

Looks like the Edelbrock is a Cloyes. both solid names. if you can get the Cloyes cheaper go with that.

By far the best timing sets are the Rollmaster sets. Billet heat treated gears and German seamless double roller chain. $100.
