Go fast Transmission

I have a 1978 F-100 Ranger XLT, 93 cobra roller engine, gt-40 heads, x303 cam, 0.30 over, and 125hp N.O.S. kit. I am going to install a t-5 in it. Has anyone ever done this before? The only problem I'm having is my factory set up pushes the clutch rod and the t-5 out of the mustang has a cable and pulls. Any input can help

The T5z (the strongest stock T5 built) can handle about 330 ft lbs of torque, and it goes down from there. If your going to run a built 351 with a 250hp shot, I'd say good luck. It might last for a while, but the ranger is just too heavy. I know, I've tried a '93 Cobra T5 in a '73 F-100 with a built 351 (no NOS) and got about two months out of it. Tremec makes stronger stuff then the T5.

I was going to upgrade to a tremec one day when i got the extra cash. How did you do your clutch in the 73 with the t-5?
