I think I should quit reading threads in here, my block heater has been working perfectly for the last 5yrs I read this thread last night, and the dang thing didn't work when I plugged it in before going to bed IE it started rather hard this morning in the 15deg temp, and wasn't working at all.
Thanks alot<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008_ZNxdm824BXUS' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/3/3_8_13.gif' alt='Throw Computer' border=0></a> just kidding of coarse I won't stop reading just really funny how things happen, heck the semi I drive went out of bumper to bumper warrenty last wed morning mid afternoon it developed an air leak talk about timing.

If you are facing the truck, look at the tow hook on the right. It is in the opening where the tow hook comes out. It should have a plug cover on it.

Found the heater plug exactly where ya'll said it would be, drivers side tow-hook opening tucked behind the bumper. Thanks everyone for the help.

Wonder if this happens on my home electric water heater when it's being feed fresh cold water.
