disc brake conversion on van (need help)
Hello all.. Been a while since I posted here, but I'm hoping that all the 73-79 pickup owners can help me out. I'm about to attempt a front disc brake conversion on my 74 E-100, and I'm planning on using parts from a 73-79 pickup. I can't seem to find any salvage yards in my area that have any of these trucks. I have a couple possibilities for spindles through an online parts locator, but I'd rather not go that route since I don't know what all I need right now. I know I need the backing plates, hubs, and possibly the proportioning valve (may go aftermarket for that). Is there anything else I might need. And if anyone knows where I can find one of these pickups locally (waterford, MI. area), I'd sure appreciate it. I just want to get the major parts right now to get rolling on this.
