Possible Blend Door problem?
Hello everyone,
Yesterday when I was driving my 01 Explorer Limited Edition, I had the heat cranked up to 90, my wife went to turn the temp down to 80, we noticed it turns COLD, after 85?? BTW, I've got the electronic controls.
To help save me a trip to the dealership and paying my deductible for my ESP, can someone lend a hand as to what might be wrong???

Does it get hot again if you crank it back up to 90? If you can get heat and cold from the vents I doubt the blend door is broken. A broken door usually is stuck in position, you'll get no change in output temp. It might be in the electronic temp controls. I do not have EATC on my 97 so I can't offer anything on that.

Yes, it does get hot again.... I'll contact the dealership and have it looked at... What a pile of crap, a frickin 2001 Limited with only 43K on the clock and I've had it in for radio issues, ball joints, subwoofer and now this...
